Protect your Plants, Pipes & Pets

To protect plants, bring potted ones indoors, cover sensitive outdoor plants with breathable fabric, water them beforehand, and apply mulch. For pets, bring them inside or ensure they have a warm, dry shelter, keeping their food and water from freezing. To protect pipes, insulate exposed pipes with foam or blankets, disconnect and drain outdoor hoses and sprinklers, and consider letting a faucet drip slowly.
